The Empty Piece of Land

In church this morning we celebrated the church's 30th birthday. Celebrating the promise of God and how God laid out the plan for our church to be planted and how not only the pastors but how a small group of people came together obediently trusting in God's promise 30 years ago. What I love is the fact that this small group of believers made four flags, each with a scripture on and stuck it into the ground, on each corner of this empty piece of land.

All they had was their faith and trust in God and the vision and direction of where this church should be built.

What a step of faith!

Today, what once was an empty piece of land, now a building where that small group of believers have multiplied into 100's of people attending the church weekly.

God gives us a promise, a vision, a word... Even when all we see is an empty piece of land.

What promise, vision or word has God given you that you need to have faith for? Perhaps you've forgotten about it. Perhaps you doubt that God actually said what He did.

God is the God of miracles, He doesn't forget, He doesn't make mistakes. Sometimes we just need to step onto that empty piece of land and faithfully trust in Him.
